There are several common classifications of floats:
1. Vertical float
This is the type of float with the largest quantity and the most shapes, such as chili shaped, spindle shaped, stick shaped, umbrella shaped, gyro shaped, etc. It has a sensitive response and is popular among many anglers.
2. Horizontal float
Mostly oval shaped, not afraid of wind and waves, lying horizontally on the water surface when in use. When a fish swallows bait, it stands diagonally or upright, often used in situations with high winds and waves.
3. Spherical float
This type of float has high buoyancy and comes in two shapes: circular and jujube. It is commonly used for float fishing of fish in the upper and middle layers of water, and is commonly used for sea rod float fishing.
4. Line float
Also known as multi-body float, seven star float, centipede float, etc. It is often made from the wings and feathers of birds, and can also be connected by circular, elliptical, or plastic balls. Its sensitivity is higher than that of a vertical float, and when the underwater situation is complex, using a line float can reduce the trouble of adjusting the float.
